What is the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)?
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a U.S. government program run by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to help low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices like a laptop or tablet.
You are likely eligible if your household’s income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line, or if you or someone you live with currently receives a government benefit like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, Pell Grant, or Free and Reduced-Price Lunch.
If your household is eligible, you could receive:
- A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50)
- A FREE or low cost service plan that may be fully covered through the ACP*

No. Evolve Wireless never requires a contract.
Yes! Upon approval you will receive a FREE android phone or optional android tablet* device upgrade via first class mail. Activate your device by turning it on and following the included easy-setup instructions.
Keep your free plan activated by using your device regularly throughout the month. If you fail to use your device for 45 days, your service will be disconnected.
If you are applying based on Income, you’ll need a copy of ONE of these documents:
- Prior year’s State or Federal income tax return
- Current income statement from employer
- Federal notice letter of participation in General Assistance
- Divorce decree or child support document containing income
OR
A copy of three consecutive months of ONE of these statements (from the previous 12 months):
- Current paycheck stub
- Social Security benefits statement
- Veterans Administration benefits statement
- Retirement/Pension benefits statement
- Unemployment or Workers’ Compensation benefits statement
We protect your privacy. Your personal information will be shared only with Universal Service Administrative Company® (USAC) and with state agencies for purposes of establishing and confirming eligibility. All information collected electronically is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
- Evolve Wireless is only available to individuals who participate in a qualifying government program or are income eligible.
- Only one wireless or wireline ACP account is allowed per household and service is non-transferable. If you have ACP service with another provider and switch to Evolve Wireless, you will lose your discount on your previous ACP service. It will be applied to Evolve Wireless.
- Separate households that live at the same address are eligible, including residents of homeless shelters and nursing homes. Residents with temporary addresses are also eligible. A household is defined as any individual or group of individuals who live together at the same address and share income and expenses. If someone else currently receives a discount at your address, Evolve Wireless will send you a ACP Household Worksheet for you to complete to provide proof of eligibility (to determine if there is more than one household living at your address).
- If you apply through a representative in your neighborhood and the database indicates there is already ACP service at your address, the representative will assist you in filling out the ACP Household Worksheet.
- The address you provide for your phone service must be your place of residence, whether permanent or temporary.
The National Verifier is a database managed by USAC and the FCC which determines if participants are eligible to receive ACP service. Every ACP subscriber will be, or already is, required to be registered with the National Verifier. Existing customers will need to create an account with the National Verifier to keep their ACP benefit. Either USAC or Evolve Wireless will reach out to you when this is necessary. If you want to apply for service, you must have an account with the National Verifier (in most states) before you may receive service. Yes! Service within the nationwide coverage area reaches more than 282 million people and is provided on the Nationwide T-Mobile®Network. Coverage is not available everywhere.
According to the federal government rules, you MUST use your ACP service at least once every forty five (45) days, which will keep your account active. Otherwise, you will be removed from the ACP program and your FREE Evolve Wireless ACP service will be turned off.
To keep your ACP service, you MUST make a call, send a text or go online (using Wi-Fi does not count), or you will lose your ACP service. If you lose your ACP service, you will have to reapply.
